Reminder from the school Nurse
Fever-A fever is a temperature of 100.0 degrees or greater. If your child has a temperature they will be sent home. Your child must be fever free (without the use of fever reducing medication) for 24 hours before returning to school.

Rash-If your child comes to school with a rash, they will be sent home. A physician’s note stating the diagnosis of the rash and that it is not contagious is necessary for the child to return to school.

Vomiting-If your child vomits at school, they will be sent home. Your child may return if they have not vomited for 24 hours.

Diarrhea- If your child has diarrhea at school, they will be sent home. Your child may return to school after 24 hours of being diarrhea free.

Eyes-If your child’s eyes are red, watery or matted shut in the morning, do not send your child to school. If your child is sent home with a red or watery eye, a physician’s note must be obtained stating the child is not contagious or your child must be on antibiotic drops for 24 hours before returning to school.

Absences- If your child will be absent or late for any reason, please call the 24 hour attendance line (801-8076), to eliminate the need for our staff to locate you. Please notify the school if your child is diagnosed with any communicable disease so that a note can be sent home to other parents (examples: strep throat, pink eye, chicken pox, fifth disease, head lice, pertussis, etc.)
